You can use ALCBH™ as a standalone product, but you can also use the shoulder elements to distribute weight more effectively and increase operator productivity.

You have two sets of shoulder elements to choose from: lightweight (thin) for use under the bulletproof vest / plate carrier, or reinforced with a damper insert for use without the bulletproof vest / plate carrier on top.

Can the belt be used without ballistic protection?

Yes.
Soft armor inserts are only an option to further increase protective coverage. The belt retains full carrying functionality even without ballistic protection.

Is it possible to use the ALCBH™ with a 3rd party plate carrier?

Connections are developed for universal application. These belts can be attached to any overt ballistic vest or plate carrier. But, to ensure ideal performance we using UARM™ gear.

Does the ALCBH™ prevent mobility when lying down?

No. The belt will not interfere with the movement of the operator. But, the gear attached might make the action uncomfortable depending on the layout you have selected.

Is it possible to use soft armor inserts if you already have the belt without them?

Yes, it is possible to quickly and easily insert soft armor into the belt even if you originally ordered it without. This is also the best way to perform maintenance on the belt as the ballistic panels can be removed, making the belt itself machine-washable.
